Join Isabelle Vella Gregory as she explores Jebel Moya, an archaeological site in the southern Gezira Plain in Sudan, first excavated by Henry Wellcome between 1911 and 1914. This talk will use the archives at Wellcome Collection to explore Henry Wellcome’s work, its aftermath and the current project and excavations, which were resumed in 2017.
